Florals at The Waters Point
With so many different ceremony locations to choose from, it can be hard to narrow down a vision for your wedding day. We talked to our in-house florist about her favorite ways to decorate each ceremony site, your reception, and how to choose florals for your wedding party.
Cindy’s Tips & Tricks
1. Use the venue to your advantage!
Cindy says,
“In the Open-Air Chapel, there are four hanging screens and prisms available for floral additions. The center of the screens is a perfect spot for a large hanging centerpiece or hula hoops.”
At The Waters Point, we have plenty of structures available to decorate with florals! The location you choose can play a huge part in how you design your floral arrangements.
2. Get creative with your bridal party floral!
Cindy says,
“Bridal party florals typically consist of bouquets, or hoops with flowers, floral crowns, boutonnières, and corsages.”
Traditional bouquets are not the only way to go. Try using hoops to give a unique look to your bridesmaids’ bouquets!
3. Save room for dessert!
Cindy says,
“We can’t forget flowers for the cake to complete the look!”
Adding florals to your cake is a fantastic way to incorporate florals from the beginning of your ceremony all the way until after your guests have eaten dinner. Florals on the cake can add a pop of color, as well as tie your cake into the rest of your wedding decor!
Q: How can I spend my summer in Wimberley?
Spend your wedding retreat, family getaway, or honeymoon weekend here at The Waters Point! You’ll love your stay in our luxury cabins, but with plenty to explore in the beautiful Hill Country, it can be hard to decide what you’re going to do and where you’re going to eat. To help you narrow it down, here is our top pick for this month:
A: Spend your time in the great outdoors!
Wimberley Parks
The Waters Point cabins are a gorgeous luxury destination for honeymoons, girls’ and guys’ trips, and family vacations right on the edge of the beautiful Blanco River. Stay and enjoy the outdoors of our Hill Country resort, or branch out and see all of the beautiful scenery Wimberley has to offer. Swim in the amazing blue water at Blue Hole Regional Park, hike up Mount Old Baldy or a variety of other trails and learn about the natural Hill Country environment at Patsy Glenn Refuge. You can even enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of your vehicle on the famous Devil’s Backbone scenic drive! After a long day of exploring the great outdoors, eat at one of Wimberley’s delicious local restaurants, then return to the comfort of The Waters Point. These unforgettable memories will last a lifetime! For more information about Wimberley parks, click here.
Our Guide to Choosing Your Wedding Photographer
In our Bride Guide, we provide several different preferred photographers, each with their own unique approach to wedding photography. We interviewed all of them to help you narrow down your search. Read below to discover how each of them defines their personal style!
How would you define your photography style?
“Our style is a mix of true to life with a bit of film colors and tones. The goal is that 20 years later, our photos don’t look like an old trend. Remember those terrible photoshop-heavy wedding photos from the 80s?? We don’t want that 🙂 We want you to feel the love and excitement in each photo when you look at it!”

How would you define your photography style?
“I try to keep my style of photography timeless so that you have beautiful photos from your wedding day to look back on for many years to come. I like to incorporate a mix of natural poses and candid moments throughout the wedding day. I would say my style is very true to your special day. If it’s more of a cloudy day, you might get a little bit more moody and romantic vibes. If it’s a sunny day, then your photos will be filled with sunlight and warmth. “

How would you define your photography style?
“Candid cinematic! I love the pretty posed stuff but having a fluid, non posey, natural feel to my style is what’s important to me.”
