It’s important to do your research when looking for a wedding photographer. To help make your research a bit easier, we interviewed some of the preferred photographers from our Bride Guide so you can learn a bit more about them!
Holly Marie Photography
Holly and AJ are a photography duo of high school sweethearts with a passion for capturing smiles and happiness through wedding photography! Here are their responses!
Q: What is your favorite part of photographing weddings?
A: My favorite part of photographing weddings are the couples!! Our biggest goal and a huge part of our process is getting to know our couples and cultivating relationships with them. I love getting to follow them along during this season of life that is just full of celebration. Their love stories are what inspire me and what I aim to capture on their big day!
Q: Do you have any advice for clients/couples searching for a photographer?
A: The best advice I can give is to ask lots of questions and go with your gut! There are so many wedding photographers nowadays, and the perfect fit is out there. Be sure to find someone with a style you love and a personality that clicks with yours and your finacé’s. You should be able to trust your photographer with documenting your best day ever wholeheartedly!
Q: How would you describe your personal photography style?
A: Our style is a mix of true to life with a bit of film colors and tones. The goal is that 20 years later, our photos don’t look like an old trend. Remember those terrible photoshop-heavy wedding photos from the 80s?? We don’t want that 🙂 We want you to feel the love and excitement in each photo when you look at it!

Q: What is your favorite part of photographing weddings?
A: My favorite part about photographing weddings is my time alone with the couple after the ceremony. It allows me to have them all to myself and It’s a good little break from my couples after family photos etc.
Q: Do you have any advice for clients/couples searching for a photographer?
A: Yes, always ask your photographer for full wedding galleries. It’s easy to get lost in the social media pretty stuff. Make sure you know what a full wedding day looks like with them. Also, make sure you and your photographer can vibe on a personal level since you will be spending a lot of time together.
Q: How would you describe your personal photography style?
A: Candid cinematic! I love the pretty posed stuff but having a fluid, nom posey, natural feel to my style is what’s important to me.
“My clients pick me because they trust me and we vibe together on a personal level.”

Ashley Eubanks
Ashley Eubanks has been a professional photographer since 2013 when she graduated from The Art Institute of Houston but has had a passion for photography since she received her first digital camera as a teenager. Here are her responses to our questions!
Q: What is your favorite part of photographing weddings?
A: As I mentioned above, one of my favorite parts of photographing weddings is being able to capture the love and emotions of everyone throughout the day but my most favorite part about photographing weddings is just getting to know my couples. I love hearing all the stories about how people met and fell in love. I love getting to know my clients and helping them with whatever they need during the planning process. I want to make their day run as smooth as I can and I feel like really getting to know each client puts them at ease on the actual wedding day and hopefully they can see me as just a friend there snapping some amazing moments for them.
Q: Do you have any advice for future clients/couples searching for a photographer?
A: My biggest piece of advice for couples searching for a photographer is know what style you want in your photos, always ask to see a full gallery of a wedding, and look for someone who makes you feel comfortable. Style is really important when looking for a photographer. Make sure you talk to your photographer about how they shoot and if they do more posed photos or more candid interactive photos etc. Seeing a full gallery of a wedding should give you a better idea of how your entire day will look. Just because you’ve seen all the perfect “Instagram” photos doesn’t mean you’re going to like their style for let’s say the reception. Make sure you find someone who you are comfortable being around the entire day of your wedding and that’s going to bring ease to the whole process.
Q: How would you describe your personal photography style?
A: I try to keep my style of photography timeless so that you have beautiful photos from your wedding day to look back on for many years to come. I like to incorporate a mix of natural poses and candid moments throughout the wedding day. I would say my style is very true to your special day. If it’s more of a cloudy day, you might get a little bit more moody and romantic vibes. If it’s a sunny day then your photos will be filled with sunlight and warmth.
“This is my favorite because I just can’t get over how the sunset made the sky look that day!! :)”
